MN Adds 14,400 Jobs in August, Highest Increase Since 2022

Minnesota employers added 14,400 jobs in August, the largest monthly increase in jobs since July 2022, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED). City of Bricelyn to Receive a $600,000 Grant from DEED

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) announced that Bricelyn and 30 other cities, townships and counties across Greater Minnesota will receive nearly $21 million in Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) Grants.  The funding will be used for commercial and residential property rehabilitation, public facility improvements and other economic development projects. USDA Reports that Corn and Soybean Harvest Has Started in MN & Iowa

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending September 15th.  Farmers started harvest of row crops as small grains harvest wrapped up.  Other fieldwork included chopping corn for silage.
