The North Iowa Community School District announced this week that they will begin sharing their Superintendent position with Forest City this summer.
According to a news release, the decision was finalized at a meeting between each district’s school board this week. Forest City Superintendent Darwin Lehman will begin splitting time between the two districts on July 1st.
The sharing agreement calls for Lehman to spend 60% of his time in the Forest City district, with the remaining 40% being spent at North Iowa.
Lehman will take over the duties of Joe Erickson, who has been at North Iowa since 2018. Erickson was hired to be the new Superintendent for the Southwest Valley School District in March.
