Minnesota’s 2025 Legisialative session officially began on Tuesday as Representative Bjorn Olson, R-Fairmont, and 66 other state representatives took the oath of office during a ceremony at the State Capitol in St. Paul.
Olson will serve on four house committees: Children and Families Finance and Policy, Legacy Police, Transportation Finance and Policy, and will serve as Vice Chair of the Veterans and Military Affairs Division Committee. Olson has also been appointed Speaker Pro Tempore. Olson said that he’s excited to be on these committees and get to work.
One of Olson’s top priorities during the session is making Minnesota affordable again, which is one of six pillars House Republicans will be focusing on this session. Olson said he’s focused on tax relief this session, as Minnesotans deserve to keep their hard earned money.
Olson encourages area residents to contact him if they have any legislative questions, concerns or ideas. He can be reached by phone at 651-296-3240. He can also be contacted via email at [email protected].
