MN Gas Prices Rise Week to Week

Gas prices in Minnesota are up 8 cents from last week.  Minnesotans are now paying an average of $2.95 per gallon for regular unleaded.

According to AAA, the price is 13 cents higher than this time last month and 12 cents more than this time last year.  The statewide average has stayed below the national average and pricing has been relatively stable and Minnesotans are paying around the same price as they have in previous weeks.

The average price in Faribault County is $2.90, in Blue Earth County $2.97 and in Martin County the average is $3.06 per gallon.

Pipestone County had the lowest average price at $2.61 a gallon and Chippewa County had the highest average price at $3.06 a gallon.

AAA says early 2025 has the potential to deliver some price instability by way of changes in U.S. policy, including tariffs on crude oil imports, new developments on the international stage and the strength of the U.S. economy.
