The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending November 10th.
In Minnesota field activities included wrapping up harvest, fall tillage and fertilizer applications.
Harvest of the corn for grain crop in Iowa reached 95% statewide, 4 days ahead of last year and 12 days ahead of the 5 year average. Farmers in south central Iowa still have over 15% of their corn for grain remaining to be harvested. Moisture content of field corn harvested for grain remained steady at 14%.
