Judge Sets Sentencing for Good Thunder Mayor Charged in Conflict of Interest Case

Sentencing is set for the Mayor of Good Thunder who was first charged back in 2022 for alleged conflicts of interest involving city contracts.

According to court documents, Robert Anderson agreed to enter a guilty plea petition back on September 26th to a gross misdemeanor of a public official having a personal interest in a contract and or personally benefiting from one.

According to the original criminal complaint, Anderson benefited from a city project involving the construction of a new gas station for the city.  Those charges are being dropped as part of the plea agreement.

Court documents say Anderson could face a maximum of one year in jail of a $3000 fine.

The judge set the sentencing date for January 14th.
