Area Races Set for November 5th General Election

Filing for the November 5th general election for those seeking to run for local offices ended on Tuesday.

Running for mayor in Elmore are Zachary Dahl and Michael “Mike” Schutta.

There are four candidates running for the two open seats on the Frost City Council Patricia T. Boman, Matt Gullord, Lee Lincoln and John Oswald.

Three individuals are eyeing the open seat on the United South Central School Board, Brad Heggen, Christopher Luttkeke and Michael Schrader.

In Fairmont, looking to fill City Council Seats in their respective wards are Amber Hansen, Jodie Wihitmore and James Kotewa for the Ward 2 seat.  Incumbent Randy Lubenow, Terry Riggs and Tom Winter have filed for Ward 3.  In Ward 4, Incumbent Wayne Hasek and Todd Smith.  Those filing for the councilmember at large seat are incumbent Michele Miller, Joe Kallemeyn and current Ward 2 seat holder Britney Kawecki.

John Gibeau, Judith Perkins and Marvin Zehm are running to be Mayor of Ceylon.

Jeremaih Heifner, Dean Janssen and Charlene Somnis filed for Dunnell City Council with two spots up for election.

In Sherburn, Tucker Schuneman and Dough Schroder filed for Mayor and Ronnie Beckius, Thomas Carruthers Jr., Richard Behne and Aarin Greis filed for City Council with two seats up for election.

In the Martin County West School District, nine people filed for four open seats on the board.  They include Laura Borchardt, Andrew Krusemark, Dannielle Peters, Jeffrey Scholl, Tom Studer, Darren Thate, Bill Unterseher, Justin White and Mark Wohlhuter.
