Tornadoes Spotted in the Area Monday Night as Storms Roll Through

Severe thunderstorms brought tornadoes, hail, wind and torrential rainfall to southern Minnesota Monday evening.  Tornado Warnings and Severe Thunderstorms were issued as the storms rolled through.  There were multiple reported tornadoes as the storms tracked to the southeast across Minnesota.

At around 5:30pm – 2 miles NNE of St. James, multiple reports from trained spotters of a brief tornado north of St. James and an hour later, a trained spotter reported a touch down 3 miles north of Winnebago.

At around 6:40, a spotter reported a large tornado 3 miles south of Janesville, moving East/Southeast, resulting in several large trees snapped.

At approximately 7:32pm, multiple spotter reports of a tornado and ongoing tree damage 1 miles south of Wells, then around a half hour later, 4 miles South of Conger there were multiple spotter reports of a tornado on the ground.

There have been no reports of any injuries related to these storms.
