Faribault County FSA Office Reminds Producers that the Deadline for Acreage Reporting is the End of the Day Monday, July 15th

The Faribault County FSA Office reminds producers that just 5 days remain before the acreage reporting deadline.  Faribault County FSA Executive Director Nicki Miranowski says the program basically affects all producers in the county because if you want to receive any payment or take out a commodity loan, you need to file your acreage report.

Miranowski says a report needs to be filed with both FSA and crop insurance by Monday.

Miranowski adds that crop insurance prefers that producers report to FSA first because you will receive a copy of your documented maps and your producer print, which shows what you have reported as planted acres.

Acreage reports need to be signed by 4:30pm Monday or a late filing fee will be applied, which starts at $46.00 per FSA farm number.  Producers with questions can call or stop by the FSA office.
