B.E. Council Approves Security Details for the New City Hall Building at Monday’s Meeting

Security for the new Blue Earth City Hall was one of the many items on the agenda during  Monday’s City Council meeting.

The Council heard the summary and recommendations of Tom McCone of Brunton Construction for security scope vendors.  The Council then went forward with going with the recommendations of McCone and selecting Bevcomm for Complete Voice/Data Network, Hawk Alarm Systems for alarm security, access and intercoms.  Hawk will also do the video security system and Midwest IT for the installation of the audio/visual portion of the work.

The Council also received the Kato Roofing report for the former Wells Fargo building.  The report indicates that the roof itself has a B grade, which is good for another 8-10 years.  However, there were some minor deficiencies found and there was some minor leaking in a few areas.  The Council approved the repairs, at a cost of $3,840.
