A Wells woman was killed in a motor vehicle accident in Minnesota Lake on Wednesday afternoon.
The Minnesota State Patrol reports that 67 year old Patricia Bathke was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, which happened just before 2pm.
According to the State Patrol, Bathke was a passenger in a Kia Optima that was southbound on Highway 22. The Kia and a Pontiac Grand Prix, that was northbound on Highway 22, collided at 240th Street.
The driver of the Kia, 69 year old James Bathke, of Wells and the driver of the Pontiac, 62 year old Michael Johnson, of Elmore both suffered non life threatening injuries and were transported to a Mankato Hospital for treatment.
The Minnesota Lake and Wells Police Departments assisted at the scene.
