B.E. Fire Department Responds to Garage Fire on Tuesday Night

The Blue Earth Fire Department was called to a reported garage fire Tuesday night about 9pm.  The fire was located in the 500 block of East 8^th Street in Blue Earth.  Upon arrival, firefighters discovered an unattached garage that was fully engulfed.  The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

The Blue Earth Fire Department was assisted by the Blue Earth Police Department, UHD Ambulance and the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshall, but preliminary reports suggest the fire originated in a wood stove inside of the structure.
