The Blue Earth City Council met on Monday and received the t-hanger bid and recommendation from Bolton and Menk for the Blue Earth Airport.
Bolton & Menk recommended awarding the project to The Joseph Company, Inc. in the amount of $1,656,243.60, pending the award and execution of FAA and MnDOT grant documentation. The anticipated grant request for 2025 is $1,573,143.60 including construction, construction observation and grant administration. The project is being funded primarily with FAA federal entitlement and BIL funds, which covers 95% of the cost. The City and State would each contribute 2.5% to the project, which would be just over $41,000 each.
The Council unanimously agreed to go with Bolton & Menk’s recommendation to award the project to The Joseph Company, Inc.
