Faribault County Board Swears in New Commissioner at First Meeting of 2025

The Faribault County Board of Commissioner met for the first time in 2025 on Tuesday morning where, before the meeting, newly elected commissioner Gertrude Paschek was sworn in and re-elected commissioners Bruce Anderson and Bill Groskreutz also took the oath of office.

In the first meeting of the year, the Commissioners set the per diem for lay committee members at $50/half day and $100/full day in 2025, which is an increase of $10/half day and $20/full day from 2024 and the mileage rate was set at current IRS guidelines.  In Public Works business, they passed a motion to advertise for bids for the years.  The Board was also appointed individual commissioners to certain committees for 2025.

The Faribault County Board of Commissioners meet the first and third Tuesday of every month beginning at 9am in the County Board Meeting Room.
