Blue Earth Area is Looking for Host Families for the American Exchange Program

Once again this year the Blue Earth Area High School is participating in the American Exchange Program, where graduating Seniors will be able to see a different area of the United State for a week this summer.

Superintendent Mandy Fletcher says past participants have gone to a lot of different places all over the U.S., live with host families and explore and learn about the area.

Fletcher says there is still a need for host families in the area.  There are 11 Blue Earth Area students in the program this year, so 11 host families are needed for incoming students.

Fletcher says that host families are only really asked to provide a place for the students to sleep and maybe give them rides a couple times during the week, but most of the days activities are planned by the District.

Anyone interested in becoming a host for the American Exchange Program can contact Brenda Millmann at the Blue Earth Area High School.
