Two Injured in Rollover Accident West of Rake

Only minor injuries were reported following a one vehicle rollover accident Saturday night west of Rake

According to the Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office 17 year old Chase Espeland of Buffalo center was traveling westbound on County Road A16 in a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, just after 10:30pm on Saturday.  The accident report states that the vehicle slid on a patch of frost, causing Espeland to lose control and cross the centerline.

As the vehicle continued to slide, it entered the south ditch on the east side of 210th Avenue and then went airborne over the road and came to rest west of the intersection.

Espeland and a passenger, 42 year old Kyle Espeland of Buffalo Center, each reported possible minor injuries and were transported by Ambulance to United Hospital District in Blue Earth.  The accident report states neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
