In the race for State Representative in District 22A incumbent Republican Bjorn Olson grabbed 69 percent of the vote as he defeated Marisa Ulman who collected 30 percent.
It was also another incumbent Republican in Peggy Bennett keeping her District 23A seat with 15,554 votes compared to her challenger Joe Staloch’s 7,379 votes
Incumbent Democratic Sen. Amy Klobuchar a fourth term defeating Republican challenger Royce White. Klobuchar won her last two elections with sizeable leads over her GOP challengers, but this one was closer than those of the past as Klobuchar received 49 percent of the vote compared to White’s 47 percent.
