Referendum For New Elementary/Middle School in Blue Earth Fails

Residents in the Blue Earth Area School District were asked whether or not to approved a 66.8 million dollar bond referendum for a new PreK – 6th grade school to be built by the High School. The measure failed with 2,605 voting no and 1,655 voting yes.

There were three open seats on the Blue Earth Area School Board. Ted Armon collected 2,317 votes, Lindsay Mensing 2,215 and claiming the final open seat with 2,165 votes was Gary Armon, Jeffrey Eckles ended the night with 1,972 votes.
