Corn Harvest Nearing Completion in Minnesota and Iowa Ahead of Schedule

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service released the crop progress report for Minnesota and Iowa for the week ending November 3rd.    Harvest was nearing completion as fall tillage, fertilizer applications and manure hauling took place.

Minnesota corn harvested for grain reached 95%, 12 days ahead of last year and 2 week ahead of the 5 year average, with moisture content remaining at 16%.

Corn harvested for grain in Iowa reached 92% statewide, 6 days ahead of last year and 2 weeks ahead of the 5 year average.  Moisture content of field corn being harvested remained steady at 14%.
