A letter has recently been circulating around Faribault County that contains false information and slander against the two individuals running for Faribault County Commissioner in District 1.
The letter contains false accusations about incumbent John Roper and challenger Gertrude Paschke has been received so far by City and County Officials, as well as some businesses owners in the county. The writer of this letter also claims to be John Roper’s son David Roper, which is also not true.
So far, at least 8 of these letters have been collected and given to the Faribault County Sheriff’s Department, who is currently investigating.
