A Good Thunder man was sentenced to 20 years in prison Tuesday for the attempted murder of a woman in Mankato in May 2023.
Thirty five year old Dustin Lee Murilla was convicted on a felony first degree attempted murder with premeditation charge in Blue Earth County District Court.
Murilla stabbed the woman, identified as Ashley Noyes in court records, numerous times, according to a criminal complaint. Several of her wounds were life threatening.
The two were together in a vehicle during the assault, with Murilla leading police on a chase through Mankato until an officer rammed his vehicle to stop him. Officers and first responders rushed Noyes to a hospital for treatment afterward.
About a week before the incident, Murilla reportedly gagged an 11 year old girl with a sock and threatened to stab her. He was charged with felony second degree assault related to that incident.
