The Blue Earth Area School Board held their monthly meeting Monday evening, where Superintendent Mandy Fletcher updated the board on the enrollment numbers in the district.
The enrollment, as of October 1st, was 1,022 students in grades Kindergarten through 12th grade. That number is up five students from last June and 11 students higher than what was projected last year.
Fletcher also reported on the number of students who qualify for free and reduced lunches, which is now at 51.08% of Blue Earth Area students. With state funding, all students are currently receiving free lunches.
