At Tuesday’s Faribault County Commissioners meeting, Prairie Lakes Transit Director Jeremy Monahan came in with some good news about a new fleet of buses.
Commissioner Greg Young said that some of the buses have been on the road for quite some time, with a few over 400,000 miles on them. Five of the new buses have already arrived with 2 more arriving by the end of the week
Young added that the County has to finance them initially, which takes about 30 days, but 90% of the cost of the buses the county will be reimbursed by the state.
The Commissioners approved the temporary financing of $100,000, the same amount that Martin County approved.
