The City of Blue Earth has received the order from the State of Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings, approving the annexation in the matter of the orderly annexation of certain real property, including Riverside Heights, to the City of Blue Earth from the Blue Earth City Township.
After months of litigation, closed session meetings, special meetings and a change in city charter, it is now official as of September 11th, pursuant to the terms of the joint resolution, the property is annexed into the city.
The City will pay the township a total of $50,000 over the next five years, with the first payment of $10,000 taking place on Jan 1st, 2025.
