Two Injured in Four Vehicle Accident on I-90 early Tuesday Morning

A Michigan man and woman were injured in a four vehicle accident on I-90, about 2 miles east of the Frost exit early Tuesday morning.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 4:57am, a 2021 GMC Sierra driven by 43 year old Langdon Brooks Bachtle, a 2025 Freightliner Cascadia driven by 52 year old James Donald Eley, of Lindstrom, MN and a 2020 Peterbilt Semi driven by 43 year old Tyrel Joshua Bakken, of Racine, Mn, were all traveling westbound on Interstate 90, while another 2021 GMC Sierra, driven by 27 year old Taylor Nadean Berean of Lansing, Michigan, was traveling eastbound. 

The Sierra driven by Berean, the Freightliner and the Peterbilt collided near Mile Marker 131 and the GMC Sierra driven by Bachtle went into the ditch to avoid the collision.

Berean and her two passengers were transported by ambulance to UHD in Blue Earth.  Berean and her passenger, 32 year old Holden Matthew Thompson of Lansing, Michigan, suffered non life threatening injuries.  A baby in the vehicle was not injured.

Bachtle, Eley and Bakken were not injured in the accident.

All of those involved were wearing seatbelts, according to the State Patrol.

Assisting at the scene were the Faribault County Sheriff’s Office, Frost Fire Department and Ambulance, Wells Police Department, UHD Ambulance and Blue Earth Fire Department.
