A fatal semi/SUV collision happened Monday afternoon in Freeborn County.
The State Patrol says it occurred around 2pm at the intersection of Highway 13 and West Main Street in Albert Lea. A 1997 Peterbilt semi, driven by 21 year old Gabriel Troy Schumacher, from Lamberton, was traveling south and a 2016 Honda Pilot driven by 84 year old from Albert Lea was heading East when they collided.
The State Patrol says Roger Allen Jensen was killed in the crash and a passenger in his vehicle, 81 year old Marva Ann Marie Gullord was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with life threatening injuries. Schumacher was not injured in the accident.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office, Albert Lea Police and Fire Departments and Mayo Ambulance assisted at the scene.
