B.E. Council Approves Renovation Bids for the New City Hall Building

At the Blue Earth City Council’s meeting on Monday night, renovation bids for the new City Hall were approved.

The general contracting of the old Wells Fargo building includes offices, council chambers and various support spaces.  The exterior scope of work is limited to pain and one new exterior window.  Ankeny Builders of Blue Earth was the low bid at $488,777 and was chosen for that part of the renovation.

Elite Electrical from Madelia will be doing the electrical work with their low bid of $136,253.

The plumbing and HVAC portion was awarded to Ron’s Plumbing, HVAC and Electric of Wells at a total of $104,945.

The renovation work on the new city hall building will begin July 8th with completion expected by the end of November.
