A Minnesota man was sent to the hospital after a one vehicle accident this past week in Kossuth County, near the Iowa-Minnesota Border.
The Kossuth County Sheriff’s Office says at around 10:45pm Tuesday, 55 year old Robert Schultz of Wells was driving a 2005 Chevy mini van northbound on 40th Ave when he lost control while going around a curve just south of the Burt Lake Campground area. The mini van rolled before ending up in the north ditch.
Schultz was taken by Swea City Ambulance to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Fairmont with what were described as serious injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 42 year old Nathan Moore of Welcome reported minor injuries and was not transported from the scene.
Schultz was cited for driving without a valid driver’s license, failure to maintain control and failure to provide proof of financial liability.
Damage to the mini van was estimated at $3,000.
