The City of Wells has announced the names of four individuals selected as finalists for the City Administrator position.
The candidates are Richard Baker, Evan Brown, Wendy Chirpich and Connor Lapointe.
Richard Baker has an extensive background in community and economic development, along with non profit management and chamber work.
Evan brown is a Lieutenant in the Army National Guard. He has worked in private security and law enforcement for the past six years.
Wendy Chirpich currently serves as a Planning and Zoning Technician for Martin County, where she has been actively engaged for twelve years.
Connor Lapointe currently serves as the City Administrator for Claremont, MN, a position he has held since 2019.
The City of Wells contracted with South Central Service Cooperative of North Mankato to carry out the search process. The Wells City Council received eleven application from which four candidates were selected.
The four candidates will meet with City Staff on October 11th at 3pm and with the City Council, Board and Commissions and the public on the same date between 5 and 6pm.
On Tuesday, October 12th, the City Council will hold interviews with the candidates from 3:30-7:15pm at City Hall.
